Probiotic Brightening Cleansing Grains
PROBIOTIC refers to any substance containing beneficial organisms that makes skin cells healthier and also helps reverse the appearance or signs of ageing, hence yogurt powder is the base of this recipe.
I wanted something that gently cleanses and exfoliates and brightens at the same time. Yogurt contains lactic acid which helps to dissolve dead skin cells and tighten pores, if used consistently. It also contains protein, which may help in repairing skin tissue for radiant skin.
Furthermore, I employed the help of a red cherry like fruit powder, A native to South America known as Camu Camu. Camu Camu powder is extremely high in vitamin c which helps to brighten skin, infact it is one of the major ingredient in thebodyshop.com vitamin c microdermabrasion scrub. It is a superfood with powerful antioxidants and revitalising properties. It helps smooth and protects skin against free radicals. It also promotes firmness.
Because I wanted all natural cleanser, and I kinda like a bit of a foamy effect in my cleansing grains, Organic soap nut was the prefect thing. I crushed and blended whole soap nuts and even sieved to make the powder.
Soapnut is a natural, organic, gentle cleanser that softens and refreshes skin.
Soapnut also known as Reetha helps with blackheads and even eczema. It is a popular Ayurveda herb. It contains natural conditioning properties and prevents skin dryness. It can be used for face, hair and body.

Measure out all the ingredients.
Pour into a jar. This recipe will fill up a 250ml jar.
HOW TO USE
Scoop out the desired amount in your palm and add water to make into a paste.
Apply to face gently, in circular motion. You can leave on for a few minutes and rinse off with warm water. Your face feels soft to touch and smooth after use.
Use a toner, after and apply your favourite moisturiser.
Personally, I use this cleanser as part of my night routine , I apply it on my face, after making it into a paste then rinse off throughly with warm water. I then follow with another cleaner, preferably a micellar water(I normally skip a toner). Then I use an essence, followed by a serum then a moisturiser and a facial oil.
