This is a very simple oil blending recipe. It is very dark, thick and smells like earth and amazingly nourishing to hair & scalp. It is choked full of vitamins and anti-oxidants that will nourish, moisturise not only hair but also the skin. All these oils are natural and unrefined. However, alternative oils like extra virgin oil, safflower oil, almond oil, black seed oil, emu oil, neem oil, peppermint essential oil, rosemary essential oil, cedarwood essential, etc, can also be used to replace any of the ones listed below.

Bits And Pieces
Pumpkin seed oil contains vitamin A, E and zinc and omega-3&6 which are essential fatty acids that enhances the health of hair and scalp whilst promoting growth. It has also been shown to protect hair follicles and increase shine.
Tamanu oil is a very good hair conditioner, it repairs damage, stimulates growth, reduces fizz and also adds shine. It moisturises the scalp and helps getting rid of dandruff because of its anti-bacteria and anti-inflammatory properties.
Hemp seed oil helps prevent water loss therefore it is an amazing moisturising oil and it is easily absorbed by the scalp and hair. It contains omega-3, omega-6&9 fatty acids which are important for hair growth. It is also a source of protein to hair.
Avocado oil is a good hair moisturiser especially for dry and damaged hair. It is light weight and absorbs easily into hair and scalp. It contains vitamins A, B, D, & E which are all essential to the hair growth. It also contains protein and folic acid.
Black Jamaican castor oil is rich in omega-9 fatty acids and this contributes to scalp moisture which then prevents scalp and hair from drying. It promotes hair growth, thickens and strengthens the hair.
Quick tip – spray hair with water/any liquid and apply a small amount of black Jamaican castor oil, style as usual. I find that it makes my hair very soft, more manageable and less frizzy.
Tea tree essential oil is a good oil that helps to inhibit dandruff and gives the scalp a fresh and clean feel.
Blending– In no particular order, add the oils in your glass bottle. You can play around with the quantity of each oil based on what suits you the most. I added my oils directly into the glass bottle and just gave the bottle a shake to mix well. However a better way to this is to add all the oils in a glass bowl or any bowl, mix well with spoon or spatula then pour in the bottle.
Use
As a hot oil treatment.
As a moisturiser for skin and hair (on a damp skin and hair to lock in moisture).
As a scalp massage oil.
As a daily moisturising hair oil.
