Tingling Scalp Treatment Oil

One of the best thing about mixing and blending your own oils/butters is that you know exactly what is going in, you are able to play around with recipes and measurements and also trying out new oils/butters. It is just so much fun learning and reading about natural oils/butters. I recently came across this recipe online at http://www.naturalbeautyworkshop.com while I was looking for the best oils for dry, itchy and scaly scalp. I had been dealing with a really terrible scalp issue as in itching and stuff, infact my scalp was getting a little tender because I could not keep my fingers out of my hair. I needed and wanted something intense that I can feel on my scalp (Tingling) and this blend did exactly that. The original recipe used Arnica CO2 extract and babassu oil, since I did not have the two, I replace the arnica with rosemary essential oil and the babassu with coconut oil. THE ORIGINAL RECIPE Coconut Oil 60ml Babassu Oil 45ml Argan Oil 15ml Black Jamaican Castor Oil 7.5ml Anica CO2 …

Vanilla Rose Hair Serum

I love mixing and blending oils and seeing what works and doesn’t for my skin and hair. I came across infusing oils with vanilla pods and coffee very recently, I wonder why I never thought of that though, anyway it caught my attention and I decided to infuse some Madagascan vanilla pods in sweet almond oil and sunflower oil. I did this over a period of two to three weeks but you can just heat up the oil and pods for a few minutes, allow to rest for a while and your infused oil is ready  or you could actually infuse for a period of 4 to 6 weeks, which is what am doing right now. It all a personal choice. To Infuse; I got a bottle, added the vanilla pods, poured in my oil and kept it in my kitchen cabinet for two to three weeks. This oil infusion inspired my hair serum, since the idea was to blend the vanilla oil with other oils for a sealant, I decided to add a little …

In this winter period and with the  UK hard water, it is very hard to get away with just conditioning natural hair or any hair at that without a deep conditioning treatment especially after using a shampoo, so I came up with this recipe after reading about some of the ingredients and the benefits they have on hair. I have to say I am was very pleased with the result I got from using it as a pre-treatment before washing my hair and also as a post-treatment after washing my hair. My hair seems softer and easier to manage. So this is it and I hope you try it. Natural Hair Conditioning Treatment

If like me you have the type 4 natural hair texture (http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types) then you will understand how important having a good detangler can be, however getting a good detangler is not the easiest thing so i came up with this concoction after using each ingredients separately and loving the result. Not only was I able to get all the knots out of my hair easily but my hair felt amazingly soft, shiny and very well conditioned after each use individual and also together. This is so easy to make and everything you need is probably in your kitchen cabinet. What you will need: Applicator Bottle: Because its easy and less messy and makes measuring easy. Honey: For its softening and smoothing properties and natural antioxidants that is really good for the scalp. It also prevents moisture loss. Coconut Milk: Very in high in protein, which is amazing for hair growth and general health of the hair. Coconut Oil:It is rich in lauric acid and also contains protein. Coconut oil is one of the few oils …
