I purchased a book  on amazon kindle by Carla Oates ‘feeding your skin’, and according to the book, it is believed that the first mask was invented by slave girls in Egypt who were washing their clothes at the Nile’s edge. Rhassoul Clay Hair Wash

I’ve been using Rhassoul clay to wash and cleanse my scalp for a few years now, basically since I’ve been back to my natural hair and that’s a bit over 3 years.
