If you have natural hair then mixing creams and oils is definitely not a new thing and since I am always trying out new oils, I came up with three different oil mix that can be used for stimulating, nourishing and moisturizing the scalp and hair strands.
STIMULATING HAIR OIL (what you will need)
Cold Press Avocado Oil
Flaxseed Oil
Hemp Oil
Argan Oil
Sweet Almond Oil
Cold Press Castor Oil
Vitamin E
Peppermint Essential Oil ( just a few drops)
Rosemary Essential Oil (just a few drops)
Cedarwood Essential Oil (just a few drops)
Tea Tree Essential Oil (just a few drops)
Plastic/Glass Bottle
This mix will help stimulate the scalp and promote hair growth by allowing blood flow when it is massaged into the scalp. It can also help with dandruff or any other scalp issues. You don’t have to use all the essential oils listed, you can just use one or two because essential oils are very potent and it must be used responsibly. If you have a sensitive scalp, do a patch test to check if your scalp will not get irritated after use. I don’t have any specific way I measure the oils, I just pour according to the size of my bottle and how much I like the effect of the oil on my hair, however I am a bit careful with the essential because of its potency.
HOW TO USE
Pour oil in an applicator bottle and section hair to have easy access to the scalp, then apply to scalp. The nozzle of the applicator helps in controlling the oil because it can get messy easily. Massage the oil into the scalp very well and cover with a plastic cap for 10 to 20mins and rinse off with warm water or warm water and a little conditioner.
MOISTURIZING HEAVY OIL FOR THICKER DRY HAIR( what you will need)
Castor Oil
Argan oil
Plastic/Glass Bottle
What I do normally is to fill up my bottle (no matter the size of the bottle) with castor oil and when it is 3/4 full, I add the argan oil because I need the thickness of the castor oil for my very dry hair and it is very effective, especially when I use it on wet hair and the ends of my hair. It can also be used as an overnight treatment or hot oil treatment. It is also an amazing massage oil that promotes hair growth.
RICH NOURISHING HAIR OIL MIX (what you will need)
Extra Virgin Cold Press Olive Oil
Cold Press Avocado Oil
Flaxssed Oil
Wheatgerm Oil
Cherry Kernel Oil
Hempseed Oil
Meadowfoam Oil
Blackcurrant Oil
Goji Berry Oil
Rosehip Oil
Castor Oil
Glass or Plastic Bottle
This is an amazing hair oil mix to use for nourishing and pampering dry, thirsty strands. It is packed full of oils high in antioxidants.
HOW TO USE
You can use this oil as an overnight oil treatment to get its full benefit or as a hot oil treatment or even as an everyday sealant. Which ever way you decide to use this mix is up to the needs of your strands and scalp. One of the best way to use hair or body oils is to use it on damp hair or skin because you will be sealing the hydration from water/any liquid into the hair/skin and that leaves you with a soft and moisturised hair/skin.
Please note that you can blend/mix any oil of your choice it does not have to be all on my list infact it can be just a single oil of choice.
It is an effective oil for dry skin. Try any of the mix or all and I will love to hear from you so please leave a comment down below, subscribe and share.
Thank you!
